ViennaUP is a startup festival that brings together people from all over the world. This year in June, over 14,000 participants from 96 countries talked, worked and laughed with each other, learned from each other and networked in over 50 events over a period of 9 days.
There was everything a startup heart desires: talks, workshops and networking events for founders, startups, investors, players from the startup ecosystem and, of course, the simply curious. Outdoors at Karlsplatz, indoors in cool locations like the Expat Center of the Business Agency, the Startup House or the luxurious So-Hotel at Schwedenplatz, the participants bustled about with great interest, good mood and stacks of business cards (or their LinkedIn apps…). Many cafes offered them free coffee and space for coworking and café meetings.

Other highlights included Impact Day, which explored the impact of tech on society; Manufacturing Day, which looked at the future of manufacturing; Creative Days Vienna, which examined the impact of tech on culture and the arts; and the Startup Pitch Competition, where startups from around the world competed for €1 million.
ViennaUP23 was again a real success and showed Vienna at its best as a startup hub. Next year we will certainly be there again.
